The Social Security Administration (SSA) uses a private database from LexisNexis called Accurint for Government to find beneficiaries who own unreported non-home real estate and cutting off their Social Security disability payments. Advocates have found the reports are riddled with errors, often causing suspension of benefits to vulnerable low-income seniors and disabled consumers who rely on the crucial income. This webinar explains the problem and discusses how community-based organizations can build awareness and advocate for affected individuals.
